Documents & Backups

Web vs mobile: Documents and backups use the same content as the web Documents and Backups pages. On mobile they live under More instead of the main tabs. Documents are read-only on mobile — editing and importing stay on the web portal.

Your IT provider shares documents (guides and how-to articles) and tracks backups (Dropsuite) so you can confirm your data is protected. Both areas appear under More when enabled in portal settings.

Documents

Opening Documents

  1. Tap More
  2. Tap Documents
  3. Browse the list of titles and categories
  4. Tap a document to read it

Documents render with formatted text, images, and links — the same content as on the web portal.

What You Might Find

  • Getting started guides
  • FAQ and how-to articles
  • Service descriptions
  • Security guidelines
  • Policy documents

Read-Only on Mobile

You can browse and read documents on mobile. Creating, editing, or importing documents is not available in the app — use the web portal if your provider supports those actions there.

Document lists may be cached for offline reading when you have opened them recently.

No Documents Available

If the list is empty, your IT provider has not published documents for you yet. Suggest topics via a support ticket.

Backups

Opening Backups

  1. Tap More
  2. Tap Backups
  3. Review backup jobs and their status
  4. Tap an entry for backup detail — type, last run, size, and health

Backups shown here come from Dropsuite integration when your IT provider has configured it.

Understanding Backup Status

StatusWhat it means
HealthyBackups run on schedule and complete successfully
At RiskCompleted with warnings or has not run recently
FailedBackup did not complete — your IT provider should investigate

What Gets Backed Up

Your IT provider configures backup scope. Common items include email, OneDrive or SharePoint files, and Teams data.

No Backups Found

Either backups are not configured yet, or your provider uses a system not shown in ClientOne. Contact them if you are concerned about coverage.

Restoring Data

To restore a file or mailbox item, contact your IT provider or submit a ticket. Restoration is handled by your provider, not from the mobile app.

Tips

  • Check documents before opening a ticket — Your question may already be answered
  • Review backup status periodically — Especially after outages or device changes
  • Missing Documents or Backups in More? — Your IT provider controls visibility via portal settings
