Documentation Hub
Web vs mobile: Mobile supports full staff CRUD for internal and portal documentation plus templates. Synced IT Glue/Hudu assets are read-only on mobile (same as web). Heavy bulk doc admin may be easier on PanelOne web.
Navigation: More → Documentation
The Documentation hub consolidates synced integration documentation (IT Glue, Hudu) with PanelOne-native internal docs, client portal docs, and templates.
Overview
The hub is organized into sections:
| Section | Source | Mobile CRUD |
|---|---|---|
| Synced assets | IT Glue, Hudu | Read-only |
| Internal docs | PanelOne | Full CRUD |
| Portal docs | PanelOne (ClientOne) | Full CRUD |
| Templates | PanelOne | Full CRUD |
Access requires the org documentation assets capability. If unavailable, the destination is hidden from More.
Synced Assets (IT Glue / Hudu)
The Assets section (default landing) shows documentation synced from connected IT Glue or Hudu integrations:
| Feature | Mobile |
|---|---|
| Browse | Search and filter synced assets |
| Detail | View asset content and metadata |
| Edit synced content | Not supported — edit in IT Glue/Hudu or web |
| Deep link | Open specific asset via hub deep link |
Synced data refreshes on sync and via scoped realtime invalidation for document tables.
What's Read-Only
- IT Glue flexible assets, documents, and passwords (display per integration scope)
- Hudu articles and assets
- Integration-managed folder structure
Internal Documentation
Internal docs are staff-only documents stored in PanelOne:
| Action | Steps |
|---|---|
| Browse | Internal docs section in hub |
| Create | Tap + → fill title and body |
| Edit | Open doc → Edit |
| Delete | Swipe or delete action with confirmation |
Internal docs are visible to MSP staff only — not exposed in ClientOne portal.
Portal Documentation
Portal docs are client-facing documents published to ClientOne:
| Action | Mobile support |
|---|---|
| Browse | Portal docs section |
| Create | Full create flow |
| Edit | Update title, body, visibility |
| Delete | With confirmation |
Portal docs respect client assignment — associate docs with the correct client for portal visibility.
Templates
Templates provide reusable document starting points:
| Action | Mobile support |
|---|---|
| Browse templates | Template library section |
| Create template | Full CRUD |
| Apply template | Create new doc from template |
Templates speed up SOP and runbook creation in the field.
Client Documents vs Documentation Hub
PanelOne Mobile has two document surfaces:
| Surface | Location | Content |
|---|---|---|
| Client Documents tab | Client detail → Documents | PSA-uploaded files (upload/download/delete) |
| Documentation hub | More → Documentation | IT Glue/Hudu sync + internal/portal docs |
Use client Documents for PSA file attachments; use the Documentation hub for knowledge base and synced assets.
Deep Links
Open the documentation hub or a specific internal doc via deep link:
| URL | Behavior |
|---|---|
panelone://more/documentationHub | More → Documentation |
| Internal doc detail | Routed via hub with selected doc ID |
See Push Notifications & Deep Links.
Offline Behavior
| Content | Offline |
|---|---|
| Synced assets list | Cached read |
| Internal/portal doc list | Cached read |
| Create / edit / delete | Requires connectivity |
Tips & Best Practices
- Browse synced assets on site — Quick access to client passwords and configs (read-only).
- Create internal notes as docs — When a note needs structure, use internal docs instead of client notes.
- Edit IT Glue/Hudu in source — Changes sync back to PanelOne on next integration sync.
- Use templates for repeat visit checklists.
